去新西兰读高中过语言关时间规定不得超过1年半的时间，要因人而异。
1、国内初中毕业：
去新西兰读高中的留学生，需国内初中毕业;入读新西兰的11年级(国内高一)年龄不可超过18周岁，入读12年级(国内高二)年龄不可超过19周岁。新西兰高中不允许跳读。但新西兰的高中允许倒读，如果在国内读完高二，可去新西兰读重新读高二的。但倒读也规定不得超过1年半的时间。
2、国内高一结束
学生在高内完成高一课程后，即可申请新西兰中学的12年级，这样入读的优势是一、在时间上，斜接得当，学生不会出现大量时间浪费;二、课程上学生能够有足够时间修完相应学分，成功完成高中课程，升入大学。
在此，建议去新西兰就读高中的时间不少于16个月，新西兰院校几乎都不允许学生12年级插班，如果学生没有学完整的12年级，会影响到就读课程的数量，那么学生在13年级的课业负担会很重，严重影响到升入大学的概率。
3、基本英语要求
新西兰公立高中一般没有雅思要求就可以直接入读，学校提供专门的语言辅导。而私立高中一般都对英语成绩有所要求，比如：ACG的11~13年级，需要雅思达到5.0或者通过学校内部测试，ACG高级中学的11~13年级，需要雅思达到5.0才可入读。
4、基本资金要求
对于去新西兰读高中的学生来说，资金要求是最基本也是最重要的，申请人必须要有足够的资金满足新西兰留学期间各种费用。由于每所学校的学费不同，担保金额也会有所不同。若初中毕业生去新西兰公立高中读11年级，大概需要40~45万人民币担保金。

直飞要有13~14小时吧,不过应该没有西安到新西兰的直飞。
一般是从上海转，上海到新西兰12小时，看你等机多久了。
