现在分词和过去分词在做时间状语的时候,主要区别在于"现在分词表示主动","过去分词表示被动"
while waiting, i caught sight of her.当我在等候的时候,我看见了她.

现分表主动，表进行，过分表过去，表完成，在学习非谓语动词这章节时只用记住这两句就可以了。

（1）作时间或原因状语，通常位于句子前面。例如：
Hearing the knock on the door, they stopped talking.
