I know you have some problems of understanding what the others are talking about, I suggest you may try to catch the entire meaning of the conversation instead of the single words. If you cannot memorize all the words, the best way to improve it is to keep practicing. In order to not be scared of writing essays, you can make a pen-friend. Finally, for the sake of making less mistakes in grammer, you can get helps from teachers and friends.

Dear Li Ming，
I know it's not easy to learn English well,but I have some ideas that may help you.
I have known that you can't understand well when someone talks to you in English. I think you can pay attention to some important words, but not every words, in order to understand as much as possible.
If you usually forget the new vocabs, you can try to do more revision on the new vocaburarys and practise saying them again and again.
Don't be afraid of writing composition! Indeed, writing is a interesting thing. You can try to make a English- pen friend. In order to give you more chance to writing.
If you often make grammactical mistackes, you can try to ask your teachers and classmates.
