其实就是意思的不一致：
前者，常用意思是 站起来；
后者，常用意思是 起床。
但请您区分，当二者意思差不多的时候：
stand up: to be on your feet 站起，站立，起立
get up: to stand up after sitting, kneeling, etc. 起身，站起，起来
两个例句： There were no seats left so I had to stand up. 这个句子里，你用 get up 就不太合适！
The class got up when teacher came in. 这个句子里，你用stand up 也是可以的。
您仔细体会一下。
当然，这两个词组还有许多意思，但就是这两个 站起 的相同的意思，需要区分一下。其他的请您查一下字典，这里我就不赘述了。
