Why not 和 Why didn't 两句有较大的区别。虽然他们都可以翻译成“你为什么不.......呢?”但Why not主要是表达一种建议，推荐对方去做not后面跟着的动作，而Why didn't则是有惋惜甚至责怪别人没有做某件事的意思了。
