作为一个高中老师，说实话，throw a party是第一次见到,猜测是举办了一个聚会，但为什么要用throw一词，不解。in welcome of sb. in celebration of 也没见过，需要查词典。
前两个是常见的介词短语，A表示“为了。。。的荣誉”，“向。。。表达敬意”，B.表示“支持”，容易排除。
CD很有可能没有这样的介词短语，要么是in the welcome of .... 在欢迎。。。的过程中，in the celebration of ...在庆祝。。。的过程中，结构不对，意思也不通。所以很有可能是A。
在做题时，不能查词典，只好这样先做了。
没有查到in welcome of sb.的用法。好不容易在两本词典上找到了in welcome的短语用法：
