动词后什么时候用 sth done,什么时候用sth to be done

表被动，有的动词接sth. done，
表被动，有的动词接sth.to be done

这两个有什么区别呢？这两个用法又分别对应什么样的动词呢？

例如：
The teachers want the work done by the end of this year.
可不可以说：
The teachers want the work to be done by the end of this year.
如果to be done表将来，为什么The teachers want the work to be done by the end of this year.就错了呢？

侧重“完成工作”这个状态，具体哪个来完成并不太重要。

The teachers want the work to be done by the end of this year.
有了“to be。。”侧重被动，强调被“某人”作。
