I meet some problems that I cann't possibly cope with ? 后面的'with'要不要？

cope with problems ，必须是这样的，但是上面的句子中的with 可以去掉吗？为什么？感谢。
2006年考研真题的第二问我就是因为必须要带with 所以没选，但是答案却选了cope
