unless是连词，引导条件状语从句，意为“除非。。。；如果不。。。”，相当于“if...not...”。
学生们用它造句的难点在于，常常不知主句部分用肯定还是否定，此时，只要把unless从句变为“if...not...”的形式，意思就清楚了。例如：

I won`t go to her party unless I am invited. = I won`t go to her party if I am not invited.
“除非被邀请，否则我不会去她的聚会”= “如果没有被邀请，我就不会去她的聚会”

再比如：
You will miss the train unless you harry up. = You will miss the train if you don`t hurry up.
"如果不快点的话，你会赶不上火车。"

PS：unless引导的条件状语中，可用一般现在时表将来，即我们常说的“主将从现”。
