    in the new year 在新年里（特指我们正处在这个新年的开始，比如说现在是2010年的一月，我说今年我得加倍努力才行，就可以说I must do my best in the new year）

    in a new year在新的一年（并非是当前正处的这一年，比如说现在是2009年，我说“在2010年，我计划再学习三门语言”，就可以说I'm going to study another three languages in a new year）
