1.不可以。留意到了吗？without之前是个逗号，说明其前面的“Fortunately we had a map”结构上还不完整，需要后面的“without (which) we would have got lost”与它一起组成一个完成的句子。其中“without (which) we would have got lost”是个定语从句。（注意 which并不是做lost的宾语。get lost是固定短语，“迷路”的意思）。
以下两种情形which必须改为it。（1）如果那个逗号改为句号。此时which不仅可以而且是必须改为it了。（2）without之前加上连词and。

2.本题与1题相似。不可以。（就是可以，也只是改为them。）。下列表达是正确的：
Tom tried on three jackets.But none of them fitted him.

3.此处的stated是“说明”的意思，unless stated“除非（特别）说明”做插入语。unless不能改为otherwise，因为它是”否则“的意思，不合句意。

4.where引导是地点状语从句，而非定语从句。

5.when是关系副词，引导定语从句when local 5-star hotels charged 6000 yuan for one night，修饰前面的days。因为关系词在从句中做时间状语，故用when。原句其实做了倒装，正常语序是“Because of the financial crisis,days (when) local 5-star hotels charged 6000 yuan for one night are gone。 ”。因为定语从句太长，而谓语are gone很短，为了平衡句子的结构，做了倒装。

6.which引导的是非限定性定语从句，修饰Whenever I met her整个句子，关系词在从句中做主语，又是修饰非限定性定语从句，故只能用which。

7.race （“赛跑”）属于一个抽象的地点概念，在定语从句中当作“地点”看待，故关系副词用where。当然用in which也是对的。

8.本题知识点与1，2题相同，只是 先行词变成了人而已，不再累述。
