INTRODUCTION (COMPANY PROFILE)
COFFEE OMEGA (M) SDN BHD, a 100% owned bumiputra company was incorporated on 4 th September 2007 with a vision of becoming the leader in processing and trading of halal food and beverages (especially. pre-mixed herbal coffee) of quality goodness not only for local consumption but also for global halal market. This is to answer the government’s call for more participation by bumiputra in the manufacturing of halal consumer products for export market.
It was founded by two aspiring Malay retirees who desire to form a legacy company which can be continued down to generations. It started from being a stockist for a coffee product in the late 2005 and having formed strong trusted relationships with the marketers, distributors, suppliers and manufacturers of halal herbal food and beverages, it was decided to go into manufacturing and distribution of halal herbal pre-mixed coffee and fast food. The company was incorporated on 4rd September, 2007 with their children as two initial directors and shareholders under the name ‘Coffee Omega (M) Sdn Bhd’.
To show our commitment, the company has negotiated to purchase a factory lot at IKS Batu Caves from MIDF Property and it is scheduled for operation by end of 2008. Meanwhile we are operating at SME Factory Complex at Batu Caves , Gombak. Our first products of four varieties packed in boxes of twenty sachets were out in the market last December, while two varieties packed in hanging board (papan) were only out in the market last February, 2008.
The logo , omega symbol around the horse head with five stars was chosen as it signifies as below:
Omega is a form of good cholesterol and our coffee will live to its name as our coffee products which are free of chemicals, additives or artificial flavours , are blended with red yeast rice (RYR), which is traditionally known for its effectiveness in reducing total cholesterol, treating elevated cholesterol levels, indigestion, adnominal pains and migraine. Besides the omega symbol is like a horseshoe.
A horse is chosen as it is brave, challenging, fast , lean and halal – qualities which the company would like to be associated with.
Five stars to denote that our product, a mixture of 5 components (coffee bean, sugar, non diary creamer, red yeast extract and herbal extract) is of prime quality and goodness and yet gives a lasting and tantalizing taste that will make you ask for more.
