英语单词里 accurate 和 precise 有什么不同?

在化学实验报告中的问题就出现这两个单词在同一句句子里,如:

Were the results accurate? Were they precise?

How would you determin the accuracy and precision?

accurate 和 precise都有着"准确,精准"的意思. 那么理解和分辨这两个单词的用法/用意 ?

虽说两者都有“准确、精确”的意思，但accurate用的多是“准确”，precise用的多是“精确”。你看像最近这段外媒新闻里说到中国的导弹，说到性能，一般不用accuracy，而用precision，这和中文说的“精确”是吻合的；说到显微手术也多数用precision。而普通打靶啊，枪械性能啊，就用accuracy多了。直径10公里的靶区，导弹落在哪儿都能说accuracy高，但非得落到正中间才能说precision高，呵呵，就这区别。

这是人们在测量中常常容易混淆的三个名词，虽然它们都是评价测量结果好坏的，但涵义有较大的差别。
　　1．测量的精密度高，是指偶然误差较小，这时测量数据比较集中，但系统误差的大小并不明确。
　　2．测量的准确度高，是指系统误差较小，这时测量数据的平均值偏离真值较少，但数据分散的情况，即偶然误差的大小不明确。
　　3．测量精确度（也常简称精度）高，是指偶然误差与系统误差都比较小，这时测量数据比较集中在真值附近。
