答案是D状语从句可以用，但是C在语法上也同样成立，不是么？at后跟的where引导宾语从句。

答：选择题选的是最佳回答。首先承认，D为最佳。同时，承认，where 从句有三种性：
1）形容词性从句--定语从句，如：This is the place where Luxun was born。
2）名词性从句--主语、宾语、表语、同位语从句。如：This is where Luxun was born.=This the place where Luxun was born.
3） 副词性从句--状语从句。如：I live where Luxun was born.= I live in the place where Luxun was born.
从上面的分析我们知道，名词性从句where =the place where-定从。
副词性从句where=in/at/on the place where -定从。
所以象最后一句话，你认为I live in where Luxun was born. ( in+名词性where 从句），理论上是成立的。
但实际上，没有人会这么说，因为：语言以简洁为美。人都是懒惰的。实质上where 从句作名词性从句时，都是the place +where-从句省略了人人皆知的the place 的结果。
状语从句也可以认为是省略了in/to/at the place的结果。
能用where -从句表达的，为什么还要用一个介词+where-从句呢？
所以表达本句，要么用at the place where -定从，要么直接用where-状语从句。用at+where (宾从），不是不可以，而是没必要。非最佳选项。

从生活逻辑上，用what更合理。
