My name is Hana Wexler. I’m 12 years old, and I am the founder of “kids for kerry?”
Kids for Kerry is an organization of kids that support John Kerry, want to help out, and become active in politics.
When my parents went to see Teresa Heinz Kerry speak, they told me that she was amazing!- and that they thought John John Kerry would make a great President. I decided to find out more about John Kerry. I talk about what I learned by using my ABCs.
‘A’ is America. John Kerry is a hero of America, and he will make our futures better. He is a great and positive role model. ‘B’ is Better education. John Kerry wants to make class sizes smaller so that children can get the best education. He wants to help teachers because teachers teach children. They will help children go out into the world to do good things. ‘C’ is Care for children. John Kerry wants to make sure that health care belongs to everyone. Kids are about our futures.

2.Jerry was the kind of guy you love to hate. He was always in a good mood. When someone would ask him how he was doing, he would answer, ‘ if I were any better, I would be twins!’
One day I went up to Jerry and asked him, ‘ I don’t get it! You can’t be a positive person all the time. How do you do it?
Jerry answered, ‘ Each morning I wake up and say to myself, Jerry, you have two choices today. You can choose to be in a good mood or you can choose to be in a bad mood. Each time something bad happens, I can choose to be a victim or I can choose to learn from it. Every time someone comes to me complaining, I can choose to accept their complaining or I can point out positive side of life.’
‘Yeah, right, but it’s not that easy,’ I said. ‘ Yes, it is,’ Jerry said. ‘ life is all about choices. When you cut away all the junk, every situation is a choice. You choose how you react to the situations. You choose how people will affect your mood. You choose to be in a good mood or bad mood. The bottom line is that it’s your choice how you live your life.’
