Abstract: The background of Novel “Jane Eyre” is in the early Victorian period, which witnessed the European revolution, the second climax of the Chartist Movement and the upsurge of the labor movement. It reflected the plight of British women, and the requirement of female to take away of men's oppression and discrimination. So that “Jane Eyre” is a pioneering in the history of English literature. From the perspective of feminist consciousness, “Jane Eyre” is a fiery feminist declaration. This paper began to introduce the novel’s historical background, and ideological trends.
