The population in the industrialized countries of the West is ,for the most part,stable.In some countries the population is even getting smaller.These countries have what is called a negative growth rate.These industrialized countries have high standards of living and high level of consumption in comparison with the developing countries.Yet,even though their population is not growing,many of these countries have heavy and long-term unemployment.
