有时有比较的意思，相当于“然而”之类。有点类似于when，不过要表示一段时间发生的事，而when是瞬间的动作。

我总结就是 当时间讲的时候 是连词 作“当”讲，与when的区别是 前者表示一段时间 后者表示点时间
当名词讲的时候 指一段时间 比如for a while ：一会儿
