为什么不可以说 in this morning 而可以说 on that morning 谁能帮详细解释下？ 跪谢

英语中很多表示时间的名词都可以作状语，所以不需要加介词。因此，“今天早上”，“那天早上”可以表达为：“this moorning”或“that morning”

虽然morning与介词in连用，如： in the morning但是morning前面加上指示代词或形容词之后就是特指“某一天”的早上，如果使用介词，就要改成介词on了。

因此，即使要加介词也是加介词on,而不会有in this morning这样的短语。在习惯上，this morning是不加任何介词的。

that morning也可以直接充当时间状语，因此可以不加介词，如果要强调“就在那天早上，可以在前面加上介词on。因此才会有on that morning这样的短语。

两种用法的例句：
On that morning, over 40 people went past this young Briton -- I was one of the first.
在那个早晨，超过40人从那个年轻的英国人身边经过---我是开始那几个人的其中一个。

On that morning or other mornings?
在那个早晨还是在其他早晨？

但是大多数情况下是不加的：
The two of them wasted no time that morning.
他们俩那天早上一点时间都不浪费。

We caught enough fish that morning for lunch.
那天上午我们钓了不少鱼供午餐用。

通常叙述时间的用法:

in
在这个时间的范围，但又不确定是在什么时候,可用于月份
in the morning, in the afternoon, in the evening, in July

on
确定是在这时间,用来叙述日期,可用于月份
on the morning/evening/afternoon,on July 4th,on Monday,on July

at 是用于 at night，一直以来都是用来叙述晚上，我也不知道为何。

in表示较长时间，如世纪、朝代、时代、年、季节、月及一般（非特指）的早、中、晚等。
如 in the 20th century, in the 1950s, in 1989, in summer, in January, in the morning, in one’s life , in one’s thirties等。
on表示具体某一天及其早、中、晚。
如on May 1st, on Monday, on New Year’s Day, on a cold night in January, on a fine morning, on Sunday afternoon等。
at表示某一时刻或较短暂的时间，或泛指圣诞节，复活节等。
如at 3:20, at this time of year, at the beginning of, at the end of …, at the age of …, at Christmas， at night, at noon, at this moment等。
